CAIRO: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has arrived in Germany to participate in the 52nd edition of the Munich Security Conference, scheduled for Feb., 12-14, Youm7 reported.
The Syrian crisis, the refugee catastrophe and the crisis of the European security order, and security situation in the Middle East are among the key topics to be tackled during this year’s conference which will take place under the chairmanship of German Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger in the Bavarian capital.
On the sidelines of the two-day conference, Shoukry is scheduled to hold talks with 15 foreign ministers of various countries.
A total of 23 heads of state and government including King Abdullah II of Jordan and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will be present during the conference, according to the conference website. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and British Defense Minister Michael Fallon are among other foreign and defense ministers participating.
