CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and former U.S. Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs Steven Hadley, who served under President George W. Bush Sunday, a Presidential official told Youm7.
The meeting will tackle regional and international issues of mutual concerns, the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to brief the media, said Sunday.
Albright and her accompanying delegation arrived in Cairo from Tunisia amid her Middle East tour; her visit in Cairo is scheduled to last for several days.
“[The]purpose of trip is to listen to voices from the Middle East, test assumptions & discuss how we can help the region forge a better future,” Albright posted on her official Twitter account on Feb. 11.
On Feb.6, 2015, Sisi met with Hadley with four other U.S. officials, talking on bilateral issues and international efforts of counter-terrorism, Egypt’s state-owned news agency MENA reported.
