CAIRO: Egyptian singer Mohamed Mounir has finalized rehearsals for his upcoming concert scheduled to be held Friday at Cairo University, Youm7 reported.
Entrance to the concert will be free of charge for Cairo University students. Each faculty was allocated certain invitations depending on the number of its students,” Cairo University President Gaber Gad Nassar was quoted by Youm7 Thursday.
Thousands of students flocked to their faculties in the hope of securing a free invitation to the concert, Youm7 reported.
Mounir is an Egyptian-Nubian singer and considered a superstar. He is well known for his Nubian songs in the Middle East and worldwide. Mounir fans nickname him ‘The King.’ His songs combine classical Arabic, jazz, and Nubian music styles and so he has his own unique style in his music and the way he sings.
