CAIRO: The Cabinet started its weekly meeting Wednesday, to discuss a number of security and economic issues, Youm7 reported.

The meeting, headed by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, is scheduled to discuss the governmental plan to attract foreign investments during the coming period.

The Cabinet was hit with a scandal on Sunday, parliamentarian Tawfik Okasha was beaten by his colleague with a shoe, in response to Okasha’s previous meeting with the Israeli ambassador to Cairo. Okasha has been banned for 10 sessions of parliament for previous “verbal abuse” of the house speaker.
