Sisi wraps up S. Korea tour by visiting Incheon zone

CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al Sisi visited South Korea’s Incheon Free Economic Zone Friday and reviewed potential cooperation with Egypt’s under construction Suez Canal Free Economic Zone, Youm7 reported.

During the visit, South Korean officials briefed the president on the design and administration of zone.

South Korea is Sisi’s last leg of a three-country tour that started last Friday and included Kazakhstan and Japan.

In Seoul, Sisi met with representatives of major South Korean companies including LG, Doosan and Hyundai Motors and discussed investment opportunities currently available by the Egyptian economy in the country’s mega project of Suez Canal Development Axis.

On Thursday, the Egyptian President and his South Korean counterpart, President Park Geun-hye witnessed inking of nine agreements on joint cooperation in several fields including higher education, railways and upgrading ports and railroad crossings, according to Youm7.
