DIYARBAKIR, Turkey :One person was killed and a second was wounded when two mortar shells fired into Turkey from across the Syrian border hit the town of Kilis on Tuesday, security sources said.

The mortars fell in a residential area near a high school in the Turkish town of Kilis near the Syrian border, they said.
