CAIRO: British-Irish Musician Chris de Burgh will perform a concert at the foot of Giza Pyramids on May 26, Youm7 reported.

Burgh is a singer, song-writer and instrumentalist, and is famous for his “The Lady in Red” song in 1986.

He sang duet years ago called “Lebanese Night” with the well-known Lebanese pop star Elissa.

Burgh’s planned visit to Egypt comes after several by famous celebrities as part of a campaign to promote Egypt’s tourism industry as revenues see a steep drop-off.

The latest of them was the Grammy award-winning musician Bryan Adams who left Egypt two days ago after giving a concert at the Great Giza Pyramids.

In October 2015, the world-renowned Greek-Armenian Musician Yanni also visited the historic site, where he held his first concert in Egypt at the foot of the Sphinx next to Amenhotep II Temple in Giza.
