Cairo International Fair kicks off

CAIRO: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail will inaugurate the 49th round of Cairo International Fair (CIF) Wednesday, Youm7 reported.

Under the auspices of the Trade and Foreign Industry Ministry, the fair will take place from March 16 to 25 at the fair grounds in Cairo’s eastern district of Madinet Nasr. CIF is an annual event organized by the Egypt Expo & Convention Authority EECA.

“This event will effectively contribute to enhancing Egypt’s exports, investment and economic cooperation with the countries participating. It is a chance to promote Egyptian products,” Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Tarek Qabil was quoted by Youm7 Tuesday.

A number of Arab and foreign countries are set to take part in the fair.

“The aim of Cairo International fair is to create favorable conditions for local and foreign enterprises and trade organizations search for business partners, expand markets, develop production, business and import – export activities, as well as showcasing new products and services. It has enabled participants from overseas to introduce new and improved technologies on Egypt and Middle East market,” according to the fair’s webpage.
