CAIRO: British catering company SSP has been contracted by Cairo Airport to establish restaurants providing food and beverages to passengers in Terminal Building 2, according to a Wednesday statement by the airport.
The contract is valid for five years, and SSP Group will be allowed to use 600m2 at the building. Flights taking off from Terminal Building 2 will be served by SSP.
In December, the Egyptian authorities signed a control with the British Control Risks to secure Egyptian airports.
Cairo International Airport has embarked on a campaign to better its services in terms of security and facilities in recent months.
It also opened a museum in the transit hall of Terminal 3 in October.
