CAIRO: Unknown assailants murdered a security guard at the branch of the Principle Bank for Development and Agriculture Credit (PBDAC) in Delta’s Sharqia early Tuesday, Youm7 reported.

The attackers robbed the bank and killed guard Gomaa Nasr, 40.

The bank director has been summoned by the police for the investigation to ascertain how much was taken. Meanwhile, the security forces cordoned the bank and deployed more security forces in the vicinity of the bank.

On March 14, three masked people robbed the post office of the 10th of Ramadan City, seizing 20,750 EGP (around $2,338); a security official said that the office employees had not secured the bank well.

PBDAC was established in 1930 to provide the Egyptian small farmers loans to improve their products and projects; it has more than 1,200 branches in cities and villages nationwide.
