CAIRO: A Saudi delegation arrived in Cairo Wednesday to prepare for Saudi King Salman bin Abdelaziz’s visit scheduled on April 4, an Egyptian official from Cairo International Airport told Youm7.
The 20-member delegation from the Saudi Royal Court will discuss the timetable of the visit and his meetings with Egyptian officials, the official added on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to speak to media.
During the visit, King Salman will witness the signature of a $1.5 billion deal to establish Bedouin projects in Sinai Peninsula, an anonymous official from Egypt told Youm7.
The deal was reached during Nasr’s visit to Riyadh in the fifth meeting of the Egyptian- Saudi Coordination Council (ESCC) Sunday. The meeting also tackled the issue of drawing maritime boundaries in the Red Sea, al-Hayat newspaper reported Sunday.
In July 2015 when King Salman visited Cairo, Egypt and Saudi Arabia agreed to establish their maritime boundaries in the Red Sea, Egypt’s presidency said in a statement.
