CAIRO: For the third day in a row, EgyptAir suspended Thursday its flight to Brussels International Airport where two terrorist attacks targeted civilians, an official from the Egyptian Company told Youm7.
On its Twitter account, the Brussels airport announced the cancellation of all inbound and outbound flights Wednesday also as the attack caused a power failure at the air traffic control centre.
“The airport will also be closed 23 March. Tomorrow we’ll evaluate & decide if @brusselsairport will resume operations on Thursday,” according to the airport’s twitter account.
The Brussels Airport and metro station were targeted Tuesday by four explosions, killing 34 people (20 at metro station, and 14 in the airport), Reuters reported; France closed its border with Belgium while all flights to Brussels were canceled and metro movements were suspended.Islamic States has claimed its responsibility for the attacks.
