CAIRO: Five flights were delayed Sunday night at Cairo airport due to security measures at European airports, as well as other technical issues, Youm7 reported.

Two Italian and German flights experienced delays of 50-70 minutes, awaiting permission to take off from the European airports amid intensified security measures following the Brussels attacks, which left 28 killed.

Meanwhile, a United Arab Emirates flight heading to Dubai was delayed for 35 minutes due to a malfunctioning tire.

Another private jet was delayed for 60 minutes following an altercation between the crew and a passenger who refused to obey flight instructions. The jet took off without the passenger.
