CAIRO: An EgyptAir flight en route from Abu Dhabi to Cairo made a successful emergency landing at Sharm al Sheikh Airport Thursday night after one of its engines failed, Youm7 reported.

“The plane signaled a defect on its right engine but made a safe landing and was met by emergency services as is standard procedure. No passengers were injured,” said EgyptAir in a statement.

The 184 passengers continued their journey to Cairo aboard another plane that arrived in Sharm al Sheikh International Airport shortly after the emergency landing, according to the statement.
