CAIRO:A Saudi delegation arrived in Cairo Friday morning ahead of King Salman’s anticipated visit to Egypt next week, Youm7 reported.
During the visit, King Salman will witness the signing of a $1.5 billion deal to establish Bedouin projects in the Sinai Peninsula.
Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmad al Qattan announced late March that King Salaman is scheduled to pay a five-day visit to Egypt starting April 04.
The visit, which is the second since Salman took the throne in Jan. 2015, comes in light of great attention paid by the Saudi king to the government and people of Egypt and his keenness to strengthen ongoing cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields, said Qattan.
On March 23, a 20-member delegation from the Saudi Royal Court visited Cairo to discuss the timetable of the Salman’s visit and meetings with Egyptian officials.
Saudi Arabia has supported Egypt diplomatically and economically with billions of dollars in aid following the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
