CAIRO: Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will meet with France’s Middle East envoy Pierre Vimont in Cairo Sunday.

They are expected to review France’s efforts to hold an international peace conference in light of French proposals presented to the EU to revive the peace process in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault visited Cairo last week to garner support for the proposal, which was hailed by Cairo.

Shoukry is also scheduled to meet with Palestinian Foreign Riyad al Maliki to discuss the French proposal and latest developments.
