CAIRO: A total of 30 hepatitis C treatment centers will be constr at fever hospitals by the end of 2016, Youm7 quoted the General Manager of fever hospitals Ashraf el-Etreby.
Etreby said 13 units have been completed and are currently providing patients with medications.
He added that each patient is receiving a 12-regimen of both Sovaldi with Daklinza.
The Health Ministry has recently announced that by June 2016, around 300,000 patients with Hep C will be treated at state expense.
One out of 10 of Egypt’s population aged 15-59 is infected, according to the World Health Organization; the government has embarked on a vigorous campaign to put an end to this high prevalence in 2014.
