CAIRO: King Salman Bin Abdelaziz, Monarch of Saudi Arabia, will deliver a speech at the Egyptian House of Representatives on Sunday, said the deputy speaker Suleiman Wahdan Wednesday.

“It is likely that the Saudi monarch will take part in the House of Representatives plenary session scheduled Sunday and assigned to discuss the agenda of Sherif Ismail’s government,” Wahdan told reporters at the Parliament, saying that King Salman’s visit to the parliament is the first of its kind.

King Salman will arrive in Cairo Thursday noon in a five-day visit, during which he will witness the signing of a $1.5 billion deal to establish Bedouin projects in the Sinai Peninsula.

Saudi Arabia has supported Egypt diplomatically and economically with billions of dollars in aid following the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
