CAIRO: The Cairo University will grant an honorary degree Saudi Arabia King Salman Bin Abdelaziz who is paying Cairo a five-day visit, an academic source told Youm7 Thursday.
The degree comes in light of the King’s facilitating financial grants to the University that have been allocated for developing the educational hospital of al-Qasr al-Eini, the official added.
It is scheduled that King Salman will visit the University Campus, however the time of the visit has not been announced.
King Salman arrived in Cairo Thursday noon, and is expected to witness the signing of a $1.5 billion deal to establish Bedouin projects in the Sinai Peninsula.
Saudi Arabia has supported Egypt diplomatically and economically with billions of dollars in aid following the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
