CAIRO: Cairo is set to host the 43rd session of the General Conference of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO,) scheduled for April 10-17.
Delegations of governmental officials, trade unions, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, employers and employees from across the Arab world alongside an array of Arab and international businessmen and experts in socio-economic development are scheduled to attend the conference.
Qatar will chair this year’s conference and will be represented by Minister for Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Issa Juffali.
The attendees will debate several issues including financial and administrative reports of the ALO in addition to a set of reports on the role of social economy and solidarity’s in increasing employment opportunities throughout the Arab countries.
Egypt’s delegation to the conference includes business owners and representatives of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, chambers of commerce and the Egyptian Trade Union Federation.
