CAIRO: Egypt’s Al Ahly will face Young Africans of Tanzania on Saturday in their CAF Champions League round of 16, first leg encounter at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Al Ahly coach Martin Jol has announced a 22-man squad before the team traveled Tuesday for the anticipated game. The team’s defender Mohamed Naguib, midfielder Saleh Gomaa and striker Ahmed Hamdy were excluded from the squad due to technical reasons, according to Al Ahly T.V. channel.

The record-holding eight-time CAF Champions League winners qualified to the round of 16 after defeating Recreativo do Libolo of Angola 2-0 on aggregate, while Young Africans qualified after beating Rwanda’s APR FC 3-2 on aggregate.

The second leg is scheduled to take place in Alexandria’s Borg Al Arab Stadium on April 19.
