CAIRO: Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé is scheduled to arrive in Cairo Sunday in an official visit where he will hold meeting with President Abdel Fatah al Sisi, Youm7 reported.
During the meeting, the two leaders will discuss ways to boost bilateral ties between the two African states.
The two leaders will hold a news conference at the Ittihadya presidential palace Sunday late afternoon before Gnassingbé will deliver a speech at Cairo University and meet with a number of Egyptian businessmen on Monday.
Ibrahim Mahlab, President Sisi’s assistant for Strategic and National Projects and former PM visited Togo early March and discussed with Gnassingbé means to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Egypt’s Arab Contractors Co. is currently carrying out a highway project in the African country.
