CAIRO: Egyptian-Kuwaiti military exercises kicked off Sunday at the Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The Yarnouk 2 military air exercises will last for 13 days in light of joint military program between both countries, according to another statement by Kuwaiti.
Egyptian air forces arrived at the base Saturday evening to perform drills that enhance cooperation and coordination between both sides, said the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense Spokesperson.
In 2014, both countries signed a deal for military exercises titled Eagle Resolve 2015, Kuwaiti times reported in September 2014.
On March 21, the joint Egyptian-UAE-U.S. “2016 Eagle’s Salute” military drills have took place for many days at in the Red Sea.
Egypt, along with other 19 Arab and Islamic countries = participated in the “Thunder of the North” joint military exercise that concluded with a marching parade in Saudi Arabia Friday.
On March 12, Egyptian-French military exercise performed off the coast of Alexandria with the participation of air and naval forces from both countries, the Egyptian Armed Forces stated.
