Temperature plummets after massive heat wave

CAIRO: After a massive heat wave that hit the country last week, Cairo temperatures Tuesday dropped to 25 °C after hitting 40 °C, Youm7 reported.

In the past days, the country also witnessed a heavy sandstorm accompanied with increase in temperature and rainfall in some parts.

According to meteorological experts, a dusty wind might continue and rainclouds will be seen from the north to the east of the country.

Temperatures are expected to fall in other governorates recording 21-22 °C in the Mediterranean cities of Marsa Matrouh and Alexandria, respectively. While in the south, the Upper Egypt’s cities of Aswan, Luxor and Abu Simbel are forecast to record 30°C.
