CAIRO: A delegation of Russian aviation experts will head for Egypt next week for a fresh inspection round for security measures at Sharm al Sheikh Airport, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov announced, Youm7 reported Monday.

“The Russian specialists will hold another round of talks with our Egyptian partners to address the issue of our justified safety demands,” said Sokolov.

Russia suspended its air traffic to Egyptian airports one week after the Oct. 31 crash of an A321 plane belonging to Russia’s air company Kogalymavia over the Sinai Peninsula; all 224 passengers onboard were killed.

The Egyptian Aviation Ministry declared that there was no evidence that the plane was brought down due to a terrorist act, however, Moscow has claimed that a bomb on board was the cause.
