CAIRO: A farm of some 120,000 opium trees and one ton of cannabis were seized in South Sinai Tuesday in a crackdown on drugs in the governorate, Youm7 reported.

Police squads supported by military units raided Wadi Feiran to seize drugs known to be planted in the area.

In the farm, a mini-truck was also seized after a Lee-Enfield rifle was found inside it.

A storehouse with 20 big sacks of cannabis was found in a mountain path in Wadi Sedra.
