CAIRO: The Yarmouk 2 joint air force exercise between Egyptian and Kuwait has concluded in Kuwait, military spokesperson Mohamed Samir announced Monday.

The 16-day exercise included performing air formations and joint combat drills using Egyptian F-16 and Kuwaiti F-18 fighter jets, according to the statement.

During the past few months, the Egyptian army has participated in several military drills with Arab countries.

Earlier this month, Egyptian and UAE navy units took part in the Khalifa II joint military exercise that involved naval scouting and defensive and offensive formations.

In March, the joint Egyptian-UAE-U.S. “2016 Eagle’s Salute” military exercises kicked off in the Red Sea, announced Egypt’s Minister of Defense.
