CAIRO: Three ports in the Suez Canal reopened early Wednesday after being closed for eight hours due to bad weather conditions, Youm7 quoted Abdel-Rahim Mostafa, Spokesperson for the Red Sea Port Authority.

The Adabia port for goods transfer, Zeiteyat port for petroleum product transfer, and Port Tawfik passengers’ port were temporarily closed late Tuesday due to high wind speeds that hindered navigation.

He added that the Ain Sokhna port is still closed and will reopen when weather conditions improve.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said in a statement that Tuesday would suffer from sand and dust-filled winds that might affect navigation.
