CAIRO: Kenyan Chief of Staff Samson Mwathethe will discuss cooperation between the Kenyan Defense Ministry and Egypt’s Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Wednesday, Youm7 reported.

Mwathethe will visit the headquarters of the AOI on the Cairo-Suez Road to meet with its head Abdel Aziz Seif el-Din. They are planning to discuss cooperation in military fields.

Ivory Coast President and Defense Minister Alassane Ouattara visited the AOI Mar. 27; Seif el-Din stated at the time that the AOI is paying more attention to African integration.

Defense Minister of South Sudan Kuol Manyang Juuk made a visit in September 2015 to exchange expertise in manufacturing.

The AOI is also cooperating with other Arab countries; on Feb. 14, Iraqi Industry Minister Mohammed al-Daraji visited the headquarters of the organization and on Feb. 16 Jordanian Chief of Military Operations Hany al-Manasiry paid the same visit.

The AOI was established in 1975 to create technology-based military and civil industries among Arab states, according to its website.
