CAIRO: Flights from Egypt to Guangzhou, New York and Toronto will be increased during the summer, Youm7 reported Thursday.
EgyptAir Holding Company targets China’s Guangzhou for its “huge importance” of a possible high tourist influx, Youm7 quoted chairman of the administrative board of the company Safwat Mesallam as saying.
Starting from July 5, flights to the city will increase to seven per week rather than five with the Boeing B777-300ER, which takes more than 340 passengers, according to Mesallam.
Meanwhile, on May 1 EgyptAir began flying a Boeing B777-300ER daily to New York rather than five time per week, Youm7 quoted head of EgyptAir Airlines Hesham al-Nahas as saying.
Per EgyptAir’s plan to expand its international lines during the summer, flights to Toronto will increase to four per week rather than three by June 7 with the same plane on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, according to Nahhas.
