Canadian passenger busted at Cairo Airport over Tramadol possession
Cairo International Airport - YOUM7

CAIRO: A Canadian passenger of Somali origin was busted at Cairo International Airport Saturday for possessing 200 bottles of Tramadol, a controlled substance, Youm7 reported.

A source at the Customs Department told Youm7 that the passenger, who arrived on a flight coming from United Arab Emirates, was flagged as being suspicious..  After inspecting her luggage a large amount of drugs were found.

The Tramadol bottles were confiscated by the department, while a police report was filed against the passenger.

Drugs are occasionally seized at Cairo International Airport. A man was taken into custody March 6 for smuggling Tramadol in the diapers of his two children who were travelling with him.

Last month, Police seized 9 million pills of Tramadol in a container that transited in Port Said port en route to Libya.
