CAIRO: Three people were arrested at Cairo Airport after a pursuit Thursday for trying to escape judicial sentences, a source at the airport told Youm7.
At a checkpoint in the airport, an officer suspected the three people and discovered they were wanted in a number of cases. While he escorted them to the office of criminal investigation, they tried to escape.
In the pursuit, another officer shot into the air to stop them. They were later detained.
In February, 25 people were arrested at the airport for fleeing judicial verdicts. In December, 46 people were arrested over theft, begging and escaping judicial sentences, according to Youm7.
