CAIRO: Minister of Civil Aviation Sherif Fathy headed for Germany on Thursday to attend a ceremony marking the 84th anniversary of EgyptAir Company, state news agency MENA reported.
The ceremony, scheduled to take place on Friday at an opera house in Frankfurt, will be attended by Egypt’s Ambassador to Germany badr Abdel Atty, German and Egyptian tour operators, along with media representatives.
In press statements on Thursday, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Safwat Musallam said the company will offer 50 % discount on business class tickets as of May 23.
He added that the offer is part of a new marketing campaign, which started early May and will last till the end of August.
Egypt Air, the national flag carrier of Egypt, was established on May 7, 1932. It is the first carrier to be established in Africa and the Middle East and the seventh in the world.
