CAIRO: A total of 100 spy watches were confiscated by express mail, a source at the service told Youm7 Sunday.
The watches were included in a parcel from Hong Kong that weighed 16 kilograms. High-tech cameras were installed in the watches which are banned in Egypt as they are used for spying purposes, the source said.
The Egyptian authorities have seized a number of alleged spying devices in the past year at different venues.
In April, the customs department at the Cairo International Airport confiscated a number of devices allegedly used for spying purposes, including flash memories and headsets coming from China, Youm7 reported.
A large number of Chinese toy drones used for spying were seized in February at Sokhna Red Sea Port.
