Sisi to inspect, inaugurate new projects in Damietta

CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will visit Egypt’s Delta governorate of Damietta on Sunday to inspect a number of development projects, Youm7 reported.

The president will inaugurate the $1.9 billion expansion project carried out at Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO) factory, presidential source told Youm7.

Sisi is also scheduled to inaugurate a number of new projects in the 6500-acres New Damietta city including a military hospital implemented by the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, the source added.

Sisi will also inspect the work progress at the Damietta global logistics center and a furniture city project in the Mediterranean city.

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Supply and Internal Trade Minister Khaled Hanafy and Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil in addition to media figures will accompany the president during the visit.
