Canada FM in Cairo for talks with Sisi, Shoukry

CAIRO: Canadian Foreign Minister Stéphane Dion arrived in Cairo Tuesday on a two-day official visit where he will meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi, Youm7 reported.

Regional and international issues of mutual interest will be discussed, including counter terrorism efforts and ways to boost bilateral ties.

Dion, who flew to Cairo from Saudi Arabia, will also meet with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.

Two Canadians were on board EgyptAir flight MS804, which crashed last week over the Mediterranean en route from Paris to Cairo, Dion stated on Thursday.
