CAIRO: French lawmakers met with Egyptian members of parliament in Alexandria Wednesday after they threw flowers in the Mediterranean off Stanley Bridge in memory of the victims of the EgyptAir plane that crashed into the sea last week, Youm7 reported.

The meeting was held at the French consulate in the presence of the French consul and Egyptian MPs Angie Mourad, Samir al-Batikhy, Haitham al-Hariry and Hosny Hafez who represented Alexandria.

The French parliamentary delegation discussed cultural, economic and military cooperation.

On Tuesday, the delegation visited the Egyptian parliament in Cairo and also met with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
