CAIRO: A total of 44 Egyptians were deported from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Greece, and the U.S. for violating work and residency laws, Youm7 reported Thursday.
Thirty Egyptians arrived in Cairo Airport from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and they acknowledged having been arrested by the Saudi authorities for illegal stay.
Nine Egyptians were deported from Greece for arriving illegally. Three others were deported Lebanon and two from the U.S.
At least 111 Egyptians were deported from Saudi Arabia in April, while in March, at least 118 others were deported. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly warned citizens not to overstay their visas in Saudi Arabia or return to the kingdom illegally after deportation.
