Administrative court rules post-graduates eligible for public office
Holders of postgraduate degrees as of 2014 protested on al-Qasr al-Aini Street to demand their appointment in government institutions

CAIRO: The Administrative Court on Sunday has ruled the eligibility of post-graduate degree holders, from both local and private universities, to hold posts at state bodies, Youm7 reported.

The court’s ruling cancels a previous decision by the Central Agency for Organization and Administration to limit employment in state institutions to holders of masters and Phd degrees from governmental universities only.

The lawsuit was filed by Ahmed Nour, a graduate with master’s degree in business administration, against Prime Minister, Minister of Planning and the head of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration.

Over the past months, holders of Masters and Phd degrees have occasionally held protests and marches outside the Cabinet headquarters, demanding employment
