Kuwait national assembly speaker in Cairo to attend conference on Arab children

CAIRO: Kuwaiti National Assembly speaker Marzouq al Ghanim arrived in Cairo Tuesday in a four-day visit, Youm7 reported.

Ghanim, who heads a Kuwaiti MP delegation, is scheduled to preside over a meeting with heads of the Arab parliaments and members of the Palestine Committee to discuss ways of supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation will also participate in the third Arab Parliamentarians Conference on childhood organized by the Arab League in collaboration with Arab Parliament and Egypt’s National Council for Childhood and Motherhood.

The conference is being held to discuss progress in the implementation of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child development plan for the investment in childhood in the Arab region 2015-2030.
