Egypt’s FM in Paris for peace summit on Israel, Palestine
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry - YOUM7

CAIRO: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left to Paris Thursday to head Egypt’s delegation in the international peace conference on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to be held Friday, Youm7 reported.

Shoukry will deliver a speech during the conference to emphasize Cairo’s role in supporting the Palestinian rights and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, spokesperson of the Foreign Minister Ahmed Abou Zeid previously said.

Earlier in May, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi urged Tel Aviv to resume negotiations with the Palestinians to bring about peace in the entire region and with other Arab states in an initiative that was largely welcomed in Israel.
