CAIRO: Cairo University will operate three golf carts donated by a privately-owned company to transport students and staff on campus, Youm7 reported Sunday.

The carts will be delivered to the university Sunday afternoon; head of Cairo University Gaber Nassar will attend the delivery, as well as the head of the donating company.

Two carts can take up to four people and one can take six. Cairo University has also provided a car to transport students with special needs from the dormitories to their exam halls.

Since April students with disabilities have been exempt from paying Cairo University feeds, as well as the fees of dormitories. About 800 handicapped students are enrolled at Cairo University, media advisor to the university Fathy Abbas told reporters April 4.
