El-Shorta became the third team to suffer relegation, after Haras El-Hodood and Ghazl El-Mahalla, and are currently placed third from bottom with 22 points, ten behind Aswan with three matches to go.

Al-Ahly striker Amr Gamal will miss Monday’s Egyptian league match against the Port Said based Al-Masry due to nose surgery, Ahram Sport reported on Saturday. “Gamal will undergo minor surgery on his nose on Sunday and won’t be available for Monday’s league match against Al-Masry,” Ahram Sport explained.
