Antiquities minister inspects restoration at Mohamed Ali palace in Shubra: Youm7

Antiquities Minister Khaled al Anany on Sunday inspected the restoration work currently carried out at the Palace of Mohammed Ali Pasha in Cairo’s district of Shubra, Youm7 reported.

Several parts of 150-year-old palace have been severely damaged as a car bomb explosion hit a neighboring security building in August last year.

The workshop provided the students with detailed information on the latest scientific and technical measures of renovation, said Elham Salah, head of the Museums Department at the Ministry of Antiquities.
