Reader captures video of whale in North Coast
A Youm7 reader, Hassan Tayseer, captured a video for a whale near Marbella Village beat in North Coast at 6:35 a.m. on Friday, according to a message he sent to Youm7’s whatsapp service.
Over the past days, readers have spotted a whale in Marina town in North Coast; Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy cited “clean sea water” in Egypt as a reason behind the appearance of whales.
The Environment Ministry has urged citizens who spot whales or strange fish to send pictures and locations in order to make sure the fish are safe and unharmed. The ministry has also warned against any aggressive act toward the spotted fish.
Giza Pyramids sees 17K visitors 2nd day of Eid el-Fitr
Egyptiologist Ashraf Mohey, the head of Giza Pyramids district, told Youm7 that Giza pyramids has witnessed a total of 17,000 Egyptians and foreigners visitors on the Thursday; the second day of Eid el-Fitr.
July 10: Biggest color festival at Alexandria International Garden
Alexandria International Garden will host Sunday the “Biggest color festival” in the Mediterranean city free of charge, according to De Cairo website.
The program includes a concert by the Danger School Band, stand-up comedy show and a beat box show.

Man arrested for illegally possessing crocodile
A young man was arrested for possessing a 60-cm crocodile showing it to passersby in exchange for money, in violation to the natural reserves and aquaculture law.
The crocodile was seized and sent to Giza Zoo.
Archaeological awareness program for children to be held in Alexandria
The Ministry of Antiquities will organize a program aiming to raise archaeological awareness among children in Alexandria, in cooperation with the Museum of Fine Arts in Moharam Bek neighborhood in the Mediterranean city, Youm7 reported.
