Cairo Metro operation hours start 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m

Three lines of Cairo Metro will daily operate from 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. of the following day, said Khaled Al-Sabra, Cairo Metro managing director Friday evening. The operation hours have been extended to 2:00 a.m. during the holy Ramadan, the ninth month of Ramadan where the Muslims worldwide fast.

 

1.5 million Egyptian families to be listed in State’s health care program by July 30: official

1.5 million Egyptian poor families will be listed in the state’s public health care system by July 30, Youm7 reported Health Care Program Manager Hala Masekh. She stated that the number of people, who are unable to afford health care expenses, reached 23.6 million people.

 

26K kilometers water pipelines require immediate maintenance

A total of 26,000 kilometers of pipelines of water network nationwide need immediate maintenance to prevent causing floods, Drinking Water and Sanitation Holding Company chairperson Mamdouh Raslan told Youm7 Friday evening. He noted that the maintenance costs are estimated at 8 billion EGP.

 

Alexandria arrests 25 harassers in 3rd day of Eid al-Fitr festivals

Alexandria security forces arrested on a total of 25 people, allegedly accused of harassment, Friday, the third day of Eid al-Fitr festivals. The arrests took place outside the public parks and the cinemas. A day before, eight harassers and a number of outlaws, including 67 people who were carrying bladed weapon, were arrested.

 

2nd group of Egyptian nuclear scientists arrives in Cairo

The Cairo International Airport received Friday, the second group of the delegation of Egyptian scientists, who are residing in Canada, on board of EgyptAir plane from Munich. The delegation’s visit came in light of a campaign launched by the Ministry of Emigration to get benefits from the Egyptian expatriates’ expertise in field of nuclear power.
