Interior Ministry pardons 112 prisoners, conditionally releases 80 others
The Interior Ministry has decided to pardon 112 prisoners and conditionally release 80 inmates according to a study conducted by a committee to choose prisoners who deserve amnesty, according to Youm7.
A presidential decree was issued last year to allow pardoning inmates with final sentences and those who served half of their prison terms; hundreds of prisoners have been released upon this decision.
However, the decision excludes those who are accused of endangering public security, weapon possession, drug trading, illicit gain and terror-related charges.
FM: MPs participation Iranian opposition conference ‘not official’
Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the participation of a number of Egyptian parliamentarians in a recent conference for the Iranian opposition in Paris was “not official and did not represent the government,” in a Thursday statement.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Egyptian Chargé d’affaires in Tehran in denouncement to MPs participation in the conference.
Lawyer says Activist Sana Seif as ‘strongly’ during prison visit
Political Activist Sana Seif who is serving a 6-month prison term over insulting judiciary charge has appeared “strong” during a visit revealed by rights lawyer Mokhtar Mounir on his Facebook page.
Mounir said that Seif gave him a morale boost while visiting her, describing her as was like a “princess.”
Seif has rejected to be investigated over charges of distributing posters calling for April 25 demonstrations against a deal to transfer two Red Sea islands to the Saudi Arabia.
Seif, the sister of the now-in-jail prominent blogger Alaa Abdel Fatah, was pardoned last year by a presidential decree after she was sentenced to one year in prison over unlicensed protest.

A high-profile Egyptian delegation from Egypt Gas Company has visited Ghana during the period from July 10-13, where it discussed cooperation opportunities with counterparts in Ghana in the gas sector, Youm7.
Egypt, Russian FMs talk MENA issues
Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry and his Russian counterpart Sergie Lavrov have discussed the situation in the Middle East, including settlement efforts between Palestinians and Israelis in a phone call, Youm7 quoted a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Grand Mufti files to Germany
Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawki Allam left Wednesday the Cairo International Airport to the German city of Bonn, in a several-day visit, upon an invitation from the United Nations and Bonn University where he will give a lecture titled “Islam, Issues of the day, the future interfaith dialogue, and civilizations,” Youm7 reported.
Slafai al-Nour Party says Spox’s meeting with former Israeli PM was in personal capacity
The Salafi al-Nour Party said in a statement that the party spokesperson Nader Bakar has met with the former Israeli Prime Minister Tzipi Livni in his personal and academic capacity and did not represent the party at Harvard University.
Bakar came under a barrage of criticism over his meeting with Livni at Harvard Kennedy School where he conducted a master degree in Government Administration and Political Science, the party added.
Aboul Gheit flies to Sudan to talk Africa’s food security issue
Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit will head to Sudan Thursday when he will meet with the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to discuss topics of the food security in the African countries, besides African and Arab issues of the mutual concerns, Youm7 reported.

Chairman of the Economic Committee at the House of Representatives Ali Moselhi will meet Thursday with a U.S. economic delegation at his office in Parliament, Youm7 reported Thursday. No further details were stated on the meeting.
Sisi forms committee to carry out inventory on Ministry of Endowment’s properties
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has decreed to form a committee, t be chaired by his advisor for the national projects Ibrahim Mahlab, to conduct a comprehensive inventory for all properties and assets that owned by the Ministry of Awqaf (Endowment), Youm7 reported Thursday.
