EGX rebounds on Sunday closing
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rebounded on Sunday closing boosted by local institutions as well as Arab and foreign buying appetite, Youm7 reported.
Market capitalization gained 271 million EGP to record 399.716 billion EGP during the closing session on Sunday.
The benchmark index EGX30 inched up 0.36 percent, while the small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME) index EGX-70 dipped 0.09 percent
Yields rise at Egypt’s T-bill auction
(Reuters) – Yields on Egypt’s three-month and nine-month treasury bills rose at Sunday’s auction, data from the central bank website showed.
The average yield on the 91-day bill rose to 14.272 percent from 14.149 percent at the last auction on July 17. The 273-day bill slightly rose to 15.752 percent from 15.570 at a similar auction a week ago.
Egypt produces 2.5 million barrels of petroleum condensates June 2015
Egypt’s domestic production of petroleum condensates reached 2.5 million barrels by June 2015, compared to 2.4 million barrels during February 2015.
EGX opens Sunday trading at collective, limited increase
Egypt’s stock market began Sunday’s trading at a collective, limited increase to all indices, Youm7 reported.
EGX30 rose by 0.08 percent; EGX50 rose 0.31 percent; EGX20 jumped by 0.25 percent; EGX70 increased by 0.37 percent and EGX100 up by 0.23 percent.
Foreign purchases at EGX reached 991.47 mln EGP since beginning of 2016
The net purchases by foreigners at the Egyptian stock market since the beginning of the year reached 991.47 million EGP, while Arab purchases reached 931.44 million EGP during the same period, after excluding deals.
Plastic exports down 6% compared to last year: report
A recent report by the Export Council for Chemicals showed a 6 percent decline in plastic exports during May 2016, reaching 735.5 million EGP, compared to 780.1 million EGP in 2015 and 1.002 billion EGP in 2014.
USD exchange rate steady at 8.88 EGP Sunday
The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the Egyptian pound was steady Sunday, reaching 8.85 EGP for purchase and 8.88 EGP for sale, according to official statement by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
The Euro exchange rate against the EGP reached 9.78 EGP for purchase and 9.80 for sale
