Egyptian-Japanese committee formed to transport king Sneferu-era stones to EGM

Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, in cooperation with Japan, have formed a joint committee to transport historical stones dating back to king Sneferu, the founder of the 4th dynasty, to the under-construction Egyptian Grand Museum (EGM) in Giza, Youm7 reported Monday official at the Ministry of Antiquities  spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to brief the media.

Woman asks divorce because husband snores

A woman has asked a court to get divorce from her husband due to his “unbearable loud snoring” in Giza, Youm7 reported Monday.

The husband, Selim B., said that he suffers a disease in the sinus and her wife wanted the divorce to get dowry and divorces expenses. He also claimed that her wife was putting Hypnotic bills in his drinks to extend he was hospitalized due to over-dose.

 

Two Egyptian students win Bronze medals in Switzerland-held 2016 international Physics Olympiad

Sami Farag and Mohamed al-Sharnoby have won two bronze medals at the Switzerland-held 2016 international Physics Olympiad, Egyptian state-owned news agency MENA reported an official at the Egyptian Ministry Monday. The two winners are thanaweya amma (high school diploma) students.

 

Japanese Kagoshima City Museum of Art hosts exhibition on Pyramids builders

Kagoshima City Museum of Art has hosted an exhibition about era of the Pyramids builders since October 2015, Youm7 reported head of the Egyptian Antiquities Sector at the Ministry of Aniquities Ilham Salah al-Din Monday.

The Kagoshima City Museum is the fourth station for the exhibition, which scheduled to be held in eight Japanese cities in the period between October 2015 and September 2016, per a cooperation protocol between both countries, she added. The exhibition showed a total of 120 artifacts, she continued.

 

Operetta of Egyptian Tale performed at Suez governorate

Ministry of Culture branch in Suez governorate has organized an operetta titled Egyptian Tale,  in light of celebration of the 64th anniversary of 1952 revolution, when the Egyptian group of the Army, led by late two Presidents Mohamed Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser overthrew King Farouk. The operetta tackled political events of the Egyptian history.
