Nigeria’s Ohawuchi joins Zamalek on loan

Former Nigeria U20 international striker Stanley Ohawuchi has joined Egyptian giants Zamalek on a season-long loan deal from Wadi Degla, according to football 411.

The 26-year-old joined Wadi Degla from Maltese outfit Sliema Wanderers in 2014 and went on to make 53 appearances during a two-year spell at the 30 June Stadium, bagging 27 goals in the process.

Zamalek have agreed a loan fee of $500,000, with the player set to pocket a total of $400,000 in wages for the year.

The Whites have the option to make Ohawuchi’s stay permanent at the end of the loan spell for a fee of $1.5 million.

The announcement of the deal brings an end to the fevered speculation over the future of Ohawuchi, who was also a reported target for Saudi Premier League club Ittihad Jeddah and Egypt’s Al Ahly.

Asjad, Sohail suffer defeats as Pakistan’s campaign in Egypt ends

Pakistan’s campaign in the twin international snooker events at Sharm-el-Sheikh in Egypt came to an end with the defeats of Asjad Iqbal and Sohail Shahzad in the pre-quarter-finals of the IBSF 6-Reds Snooker Championship 2016, according to Pakistani media reports.

Ramadan Sobhi to join Stoke squad in Germany, says agent

The agent of Stoke City new signing Ramadan Sobhi has revealed that the Egypt international is set to be available for coach Mark Hughes in the team’s pre-season friendly against Hamburg, KingFut reported on Saturday.

Sobhi officially sealed his long awaited swoop to Stoke City earlier this week after completing a medical for the club on Friday of the preceding week.

AS Roma gathered questions by their fans for Ahmed Hossan ‘Mido’ and got the former Egyptian striker to answer them. Mido spent only two years at Roma but spoke highly of his time there.

El-Said, Antwi and Gamal boost Ahly ahead of Egypt Cup test

Ahly’s attacking midfielder Abdallah El-Said has rejoined the club’s training sessions after recovering from injury, while striking duo Amr Gamal and John Antwi are ready for Monday’s anticipated match against Smouha, Ahram online reported.

“El-Said has trained with his teammates after recovering from his injury,” Ahly said in a statement via its official website.

The 30-year-old, who was a key factor in guiding the Reds to their 38th league title this year, has been on the sidelines since picking up a collarbone injury in a league match against Dakhleya on 9 June.
